"An arresting work which applies the dynamic, painterly, processes to sound. Using a suite of images as portals we can enter this living sonic world. A convoluted, complex, story is allowed to unfold. Directed by artist’s own personal folk lore, triggered by a very real childhood mummer, the listener is able to build their own interpretation: conjure up scenarios, actors, and words, find connections and a meaning from within the vortex.

It embodies the collision between hardware and software. The twisting and turning of dials, wires, and strange boxes, layered again through pulsing, resonating digital tools. A strange new world alchemy that moulds new shapes and figures from the dirt and tissues of a long-forgotten, or perhaps unknown, world.

Ultimately it's about the power of sound in evocation; conjuring the spirits of past through the latent power of the technology at our fingertips."
